Sophie Bourgenot is a visual artist working through drawing.

Her practice begins in direct contact with natural landscapes, where drawing is not used to represent a place, but to engage with it,  to be affected by it.

She draws where something is happening.

In live contexts, music, bodies, presence, her work unfolds in real time. The drawing does not illustrate; it registers what circulates: tensions, silences, impulses.

What appears on paper is not an image to be fixed, but the trace of an experience.

Her work moves between perception, emotion, and movement, seeking less to show than to make visible.

Drawing becomes a space where something can shift, a place of transformation.

She lives and works in France.
